REHABILITATION OF UNDERGROUND STORM WATER DRAINAGE NETWORK IN KANDY

The scope of rehabilitation work to be carried out to these three major tunnel outfall drains comprises the structural rehabilitation of the upstream 616m stretch of elliptical shaped bric masonry drains of sizes ranging from 1240 x 1420 mm high to 1660 x 2100 mm high by standalone structural lining process. Other Tunnels fetch rehabilitation of walls and roof by reinforced shotcrete along with rehabilitation of Invert. Yatinuwara (Upstream Stretch) Rehabilitation by Standalone Structural Liner, 616 m Yatinuwara (Downstream Stretch), Invert reinstatement by cast in situ or precast reinforced  concrete and shotcrete repairs to walls and roof, 197 m Meda Ela (Spillway to Outfall), Invert reinstatement by cast in situ or precast reinforced  concrete and shotcrete repairs to walls and roof, 313 m Meda Ela (Play Ground Premises), Invert reinstatement by cast in situ or precast reinforced  concrete and shotcrete repairs to walls and roof, 115 m Bogambara Outfall Tunnel, Invert reinstatement by cast in situ or precast reinforced concrete and shotcrete repairs to walls and roof, 75 m. Total Length rehabilitation work 1314 m.
